SNIDD is a volunteer organization incorporated as a 501(c)(3) which is the Federal designation for a not-for-profit. SNIDD is one of four Councils of the Academy of Molecular Imaging. Administrative support for SNIDD is provided through AMI headquarters in Los Angeles, California. SNIDD governance consists of a Governing Board responsible for making policy decisions for the Society, Council Members and Committees.

The Governing Board of the Society includes the Council, Committee Heads and Founding Directors. The SNIDD Council includes a Council Chair, Immediate Past-Council Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and 5 Directors. The SNIDD Council Chair also serves as a member of the Board Directors for the Academy of Molecular Imaging and in this capacity represents the SNIDD Council.

Committees have been established to address specific topics of interest for our members and sponsors. The current Committees within the Society include: Therapeutic Areas Committee (TAC), Experts Database Committee, Education, Membership, and Operations.

The Governing Board is open to requests from members or sponsors for suggestions on possible new committees.
