Society of Noninvasive Imaging in Drug Development.

The goal of SNIDD is to bring together researchers from the pharmaceutical industry, academic centers and a wide variety of disciplines to identify ways to facilitate and optimize the use of noninvasive imaging in drug research and development.

Imaging is a valuable tool used to obtain information about the in vivo molecular interactions important in biology, pharmacology and toxicology that cannot be obtained through any other method. Imaging can help improve the efficiency of both preclinical and clinical research on new drug candidates, and aid in early identification of drug candidates that might ultimately fail.

The SNIDD is dedicated to providing opportunities for pharma, academia and government to work together and interpret the valuable data derived from imaging technologies and how these data promote the drug discovery and development process.
